This isn’t the cry of someone searching for compliments. It’s a mindset I had to establish to be a professional graphic designer.

As an entrepreneur, I find it’s hard to sustain on positive mental attitude when faced with more challenges than successes.

Artists and designers everywhere hope they can read one of these articles and suddenly have the secret to earth shattering design.

Creating an indelible mark that completely represents a company or organization’s full offerings is obviously no simple task.

We at Hunchback Graphics have had the pleasure of working with a number of clients over the better part of a decade that we’ve been in business.

Well we were doing well there for a little, but we fell off the blog train pretty hard. That’s ok though. It happens. Expletive happens.

I, Travis Duda, am a procrastinator. There. I said it. It feels good to be honest with you. But I’m more productive that way. I know, bold statement, stay with me.  

Unlike last week’s question, this is one I do get asked often. Truthfully, I didn’t know how to answer it at first.

Logo design can be challenging. Finding the perfect balance of imagery and typography that fully embodies the organization it’s representing is no short order. I find it especially difficult when I’m designing for myself.

Surprisingly, this is a question we don’t get often. It could be that people are too nice to ask, or my physical appearance might be evident enough, but the name goes so far beyond the cosmetic, and speaks to the mindset we keep about our work.

I’ve always struggled with what to do with this space. For the 6+ years we’ve been doing business as Hunchback Graphics, I’ve painstakingly only wanted to show the prettiest parts of our portfolio.
